Course Description

Food Handler Certification CourseCiti College is offering Food Handler Certification to students in Toronto & Mississauga. This course is aimed to promote awareness about food borne illness and safe food handling practices. If you want to work in a food premises or already working there or wish to own a food business, then this course is a must for you. To obtain the certification, the students are required to pass the certification exam successfully. Upon completion, the student will be issued a Certified Food Handler Certificate & wallet card valid for 5yrs.

The course content is in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Standards.

  • Purchasing, Receiving and Storing Food and Pest Management
  • Getting Food Ready to Cook
  • Handling Dishes and Serving Food
  • Keep Food at the Right Temperature
  • Reduce the Amount of Time that Food is in the   T.D.Z.
  • Cooking, Cooling and Holding Food
  • Food Allergies
  • Exam    –    1 hour

Food Handler Certification Exam

To obtain the certification, the students are required to pass the certification exam successfully.  This exam contains 15 true false and 35 MCQS.  Passing percentage is a minimum of 74.


Students are required to bring valid photo identification and receipt on the day of the course or exam as proof of payment.

Fees are non-refundable, however students are allowed to reschedule and registrations can be transferred.
